Yana holds a master's degree in History and Archaeology from Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University of Mykolaiv (Ukraine). She has experience in coordinating international projects at the Center for Dialogue and Reconciliation "Iskra" (Mykolaiv, Ukraine) and at the Center for Conflict Studies (Marburg, Germany). 

She is currently completing a Master's program in Peace and Conflict Studies at Phillips University Marburg and is writing a Master's thesis on the topic "The role of the German-based Ukrainian diaspora in the reconstruction of Ukraine (during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war)".
